Policies
At LT Wood Creations, each product is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Because many of our products are made to order and customized to each customer’s selections, please review the following policies before placing an order.
Production Times
Most orders are completed within approximately 1–2 weeks. Production times may vary depending on the product, customization, material availability, current order volume, and order size.
Production estimates are provided as a general timeframe and are not guaranteed completion or delivery dates. If an unexpected delay significantly affects your order, we will contact you with an update.
Payment
Payment is due in full at checkout. Production will not begin until payment has been successfully completed.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Orders may be changed or canceled for a full refund before production begins.
Once materials have been ordered, selected, cut, prepared, finished, or production has otherwise begun, the order may no longer be changed or canceled. Because many products are made specifically for each customer, completed custom and made-to-order products cannot be restocked or resold in the same manner as mass-produced items.
If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact LT Wood Creations as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that a request can be accommodated once an order has entered production.
Returns and Refunds
Because our products are handcrafted and made to order, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges due to changes of mind, incorrect customer selections, natural variations in wood, or differences between a product’s appearance and the representative photos shown on our website.
If an item arrives damaged, is defective, or is materially different from what was ordered due to an error by LT Wood Creations, please contact us promptly. We will review the issue and work toward an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.
Please do not return or ship any product without first contacting us and receiving instructions.
Shipping
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the product, package size, weight, destination, and available carrier rates.
Estimated shipping or delivery dates are not guaranteed. Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delays caused by weather, carrier operations, transportation disruptions, incorrect delivery information, or other circumstances outside the control of LT Wood Creations may affect delivery time.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer’s responsibility.
Shipping Damage
Please inspect your order promptly after delivery. Shipping damage must be reported within 3 calendar days of delivery.
To submit a shipping-damage claim, please provide clear photos of:
The damaged product
The exterior shipping box or packaging
The interior packing materials
The shipping label
Please keep the product and all original packaging until the claim has been reviewed. Do not discard packaging or attempt repairs before contacting us, as the shipping carrier may require the packaging for inspection or claim documentation.
Damage reported after the three-day period may be more difficult to verify or submit to the shipping carrier and may not be eligible for replacement or reimbursement.
Local Pickup
Local pickup is available in Canfield, Ohio, by appointment only.
Customers will be contacted when their order is complete and ready for pickup. A pickup date and time must be arranged before arrival. Please do not arrive before receiving confirmation that your order is ready.
Orders are paid in full during checkout. Pickup instructions and location details will be provided when the order is ready.
Natural Wood Characteristics
Wood is a natural material, and each piece is unique. Grain pattern, color, tone, knots, mineral streaks, figure, texture, and other natural characteristics will vary between boards, species, and finished products.
Product photos are representative examples and are not guarantees of an exact color, grain pattern, or appearance. Natural variation is not considered a defect.
Wood may also change slightly over time due to exposure to light, temperature, humidity, use, and aging. These changes are a normal characteristic of genuine wood products.
Product Dimensions
Product dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handcrafted nature of our products, normal manufacturing tolerances, sanding, finishing, and the natural expansion and contraction of wood.
Minor variations that do not affect the intended use or function of the product are not considered defects.
Customers are responsible for verifying measurements and selecting the correct product size, configuration, orientation, finish, and other options before placing an order.
Product Care
Customers are responsible for following any care instructions provided with the product or included in the product description.
LT Wood Creations is not responsible for damage caused by improper care, misuse, neglect, improper storage, excessive moisture, prolonged water exposure, dishwasher use, extreme temperatures, significant humidity changes, harsh chemicals, improper cleaning products, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow care instructions.
Cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and other food-contact wood products should not be placed in a dishwasher, submerged in water, or left wet for extended periods.
Installation
Unless installation is specifically included in a separate written estimate or agreement, customers are responsible for the installation of shelves, mantels, faux beams, stair components, and other architectural products.
Products must be installed using appropriate mounting methods, hardware, tools, and structural support for the product and intended application. Installation requirements may vary depending on wall construction, framing, surface material, product size, weight, and intended use.
LT Wood Creations is not responsible for damage, injury, product failure, property damage, or other issues resulting from improper installation, inadequate structural support, incorrect hardware, unauthorized product modifications, or installation performed by the customer or a third party.
Installation services may be available separately through LT Remodeling & Carpentry and require a separate estimate and agreement.
Custom Orders
Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all requested dimensions, materials, wood species, finishes, configurations, orientations, and other custom details before production begins.
Custom requests are subject to review and may require additional pricing or production time. Any significant changes requested after an order is placed may require additional charges and may not be possible once production has begun.
